About Us
At Tru-Pak, moving is all in the family.
John and Patricia Siegel founded Tru-Pak Moving Systems in 1960 with one straight truck and a dream. By the time their children -- Johnny, Allyson and Miriam (Mimi) -- joined the family business, Tru-Pak's trucks and trailers were moving families, freight and furniture across the 48 contiguous United States.
By 1986, Tru-Pak's international fleet was making 40,000 moves per year and consistently scoring number one in sales. In 1998, Tru-Pak struck out as an independent moving company, and it is currently the largest independent mover south of Virginia. Tru-Pak further stands out of the crowd with its attention to security and safety unmatched by its competitors. Unlike most moving companies…
The Tru-Pak Difference
- We own all our own equipment
- We self-haul 99.8% of all shipments
- All our drivers are our employees – no strangers handling your belongings!
- Every employee is licensed, bonded and insured
- The same drivers that pick up your belongings will deliver your belongings – unheard of in this industry!
- Every driver averages 5 years with our company – many pushing 15 years!
Even though Tru-Pak has evolved into a moving industry leader, the Siegels still prefer to give their customers the personal touch. From the age of 19, John Siegel served as the president of Tru-Pak Moving Systems, and he is intimately involved in daily operations. John works side by side with daughter Allyson, who is Tru-Pak's vice president of business development. His wife, Patricia, serves as secretary and treasurer, and daughter Mimi works part-time as an insurance claims representative. Sarah, the beloved watchdog, greets every visitor with a friendly lick, except when cousin Lilly, formerly the five-legged-dog, comes to visit. Throw into the mix the many employees pushing 15 years of employment, and the numerous companies pushing 15 years of service – that’s the Tru-Pak family difference!
